Get To Know Me
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
As someone who grew up in a family that was more collectivist-oriented, relationships mattered. The bonds between family members shaped how I believe people connect and navigate their relationships and the distress that can impact this bond. I also believe that families shape us, and that we are able to decide how we want to connect with others moving forward rather than having our past define us.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I utilize Intergenerational Family therapy, EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Socio-Emotional Relational Therapy to help you work towards your goals.

Education
East Carolina University, Doctorate of Philosophy, Medical Family Therapy, 2025 — I completed my dissertation on how fat, gender diverse people of color cultivated positive body image. I also received training regarding medical family therapy; which is an approach to whole-person health through a bio-psycho-social and spiritual perspective to help you and your loved ones feel more empowered during interactions with healthcare providers and feel connected to each other when navigating various acute or chronic illnesses.
Work HistoryI have previously worked in various settings such as a high school, early college, various family medicine clinics, and a private practice providing individual, couples, and family therapy services. While working at these various sites, I learned how to collaborate alongside medical providers, school counselors/teachers, and other team members to provide the best quality client-centered care.
