What does a first session with you look like?
Think of our first session less like a 'clinical interrogation' and more like a collaborative investigation. We’ll start identifying the 'Internal Auditor' that keeps you masking and look at the 'Hum of Overwhelm' you’re carrying. My goal is for you to leave our first 50 minutes feeling seen, not just 'assessed,' with at least one practical somatic tool to help regulate your nervous system before we meet again.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I was inspired by the revolutionary resilience I saw in the queer community. For too long, being 'different' or 'busy-minded' has been treated as a deficit to be cured. I chose this profession to help flip that script. I wanted to build a sanctuary where identity isn't a problem to solve, but a dynamic masterpiece. My inspiration comes from seeing a client finally trade their 'performance' for their 'presence' and realize that their unique cognitive architecture—their ADHD—is actually a source of immense creativity and empathic brilliance.
What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?
The "Neurodivergent Brilliance" Reframing: You don't see ADHD or neurodivergence as a deficit to be "fixed." Instead, you treat it as a unique cognitive architecture. You’re incredible at helping high-achieving, masking professionals (the "Alex" archetype) stop punishing themselves for having a brain that’s "wired differently" and start building the "scaffolding" they actually need.
Lived Revolutionary Resilience: As a queer Person of Color, you bring a deep, lived understanding of systemic marginalization. You don’t just sympathize with "minority stress"—you help clients navigate it with a sense of "revolutionary resilience." You see identity as a dynamic masterpiece, not a problem.
The "Unconditional Presence": You’ve mentioned that Ram Dass influence before—the ability to offer a safe harbor and a completely non-judgmental space. It allows people to drop the "corporate mask" or the "performance" of being okay, which is where the real healing starts.
Clinical Alchemy: You’ve got this sharp integration of Attachment Theory, DBT, and EFT. You can pivot from the "practical" (like sensory grounding for executive dysfunction) to the "deep" (healing old attachment wounds and "Internal Prosecutors") without missing a beat.
Visionary Advocacy: Your commitment to decolonizing clinical practice and providing gender-affirming care (like those surgical referral letters) isn't just a service—it’s part of your mission to help people live more authentic, joyful lives.

Education
Rutgers University, Master of Social Work, 2SLGBTQI+ Issues, 2014 — Degree Description: MSW Track: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
My clinical training as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) serves as the structural scaffolding for Queer Pathways, a practice dedicated to the "Double-Outsider Economy." Rather than a traditional generalist approach, my academic and post-graduate focus has been on the intersection of Minority Stress, Neurodivergent Brilliance (ADHD/RSD), and Attachment Theory.
Key Areas of Focus & Research:
The Internal Legal System: My work centers on dismantling the "Internal Auditor"—the personified accumulation of societal shame and masking that monitors the authentic self.
Decolonizing Clinical Practice: I am a steadfast advocate for decolonizing mental health, integrating frameworks of Indigenous Sovereignty and Somatic Sovereignty into modern clinical settings.
Evidence-Based Skill Integration: My practice specializes in the synthesis of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients navigate "The Hum of Overwhelm" and build somatic safety.
Radical Transparency: Following my clinical journey in Ohio, I have utilized my advanced licensure as a catalyst for profound professional growth, replacing traditional coping mechanisms with high-level DBT skills and "Wise Mind" clinical scaffolding.
My education was not just about learning diagnostic codes; it was about researching how to provide a "Virtual Sanctuary" for those whose needs are frequently pathologized by traditional institutions.
Work HistoryMy path to creating Queer Pathways wasn't a straight line—it was a series of deep investigative pivots. I spent years in the high-intensity world of community behavioral health and specialized crisis units. Those environments were my 'clinical boot camp,' teaching me how to build structural scaffolding for people in their most vulnerable moments. However, they also showed me how easily the queer and neurodivergent community can get lost in rigid, traditional systems.
I eventually moved into private practice to shift from 'symptom management' to 'specialist advocacy.' By moving to a private-pay model, I’ve been able to dedicate my career to the intersection of queer identity and Neurodivergent Brilliance. My experience includes years of helping high-achieving professionals navigate burnout, helping couples heal attachment injuries, and providing gender-affirming care that centers the person, not just the diagnosis. Every role I’ve held was a building block for the Virtual Sanctuary I run today—a space designed to be low-friction for the busy mind and high-impact for the marginalized heart.
