In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
There is significant overlap between my life and treatment philiophies. Both are grounded in a belief in a lifelong ability to learn, grow and change. Science and lived experience are pretty integral to both as well. The importance of moderation and maintaining a balanced mental state that acknowledges both emotions and logic drive treatment and persoanl goals.

Work HistoryAs an LCSW, I have worked with a wide variety of client populations over the years including both inpatient and out patient treatment. This has honed my skill at differential diagnosis and provided many opportunities to strengthen standard therapy skills. It also revealed the limitations of traditional interventions alone which lked me to learn about neuroscience and the body/brain connection. This led to training in neurofeedback, and nutrition.
Client populations have included those with low incomes and minorities at community mental health centers, the chronically mentally ill in long term care facilities, and women struggling with addiciton at an in patient drug treatment facility. While in private practice, there has been a growing need for ADHD related treatment.
