In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
I am a mid-life woman who has experienced empty nesting, a blended family, perimenopause, and menopause phase of life. I have been a caregiver for an aging and ailing parent. I understand the challenges and questions we ask ourselves at this stage of life. Who am I if I'm not a Mom? Who are we as a couple now that the kids are gone? Why am I the only one caring for my aging parent? There is a longing for connection with others but hesitancy to make it happen.

Work HistoryAre you a mid-life woman who feels overwhelmed and stressed because you constantly prioritize others' needs over your own? Do you feel burnt out from being a people-pleaser who carries the mental load for your family? Is continually giving and never receiving and it is negatively impacting your self-esteem and self-worth? Do you feel constant anxiety and pressure from managing too many responsibilities but fear that, at any moment, everything will come crashing down? If you are struggling with making yourself a priority and setting healthy boundaries, I get it, and I can help. I can help you create a plan to establish and maintain healthy boundaries that protect your time, energy, and emotional well-being. I’d love to work with you to help you care for yourself without guilt, to thrive in your life, not just survive. You are worthy of loving yourself and feeling joyful–I want you to know that healing is possible.
I'm Julie, a midlife therapist who struggled with people-pleasing and putting others first. I love cats and Tex-Mex. I specialize in helping midlife women feel mentally, physically, and spiritually aligned with themselves. We’ll work together to improve your self-acceptance, create healthy boundaries, fulfill personal goals, explore your passions, and become mindful and present while letting go of the guilt associated with putting yourself first.
