What is your style/approach to therapy?
You can expect therapy with me to be relational and collaborative. I enter the therapeutic relationship with openness, curiosity, and a trauma informed lens. You are the expert on yourself, and together we can help you rediscover your own inner healing and strength. I integrate an eclectic approach, using a variety of therapeutic modalities (like IFS, EMDR, psychodynamic, and feminist) to individualize treatment to each individual. I help my clients lean into living an authentic, self-compassionate, and balanced life. I am passionate about holding safe spaces for emotional moments, and would be honored to be a part of your healing journey as you reclaim your own sense of authentic self.
What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
I believe in the power of therapy, with growth through meaningful connection and honest feedback. I know that the strongest determinate of your healing is the relationship you have with your therapist. This means finding the right fit therapist for you is so important! No one therapist can be the right fit for everyone, you just have to find the right fit for you.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
I know from personal experience how vulnerable therapy can feel, as I am a therapist who goes to therapy, committed to walking my own healing journey. Being a therapist is my dream job, and I am authentically passionate about this work. Going to therapy, leaning into your healing journey, is one of the bravest and strongest things you can do.
