I’m naturally introverted and laid-back, which helps me listen and create space for clients to share without feeling rushed. I’m straightforward and relatable, so I can be clear while still connecting on a human level. I love humor—it’s a small way to ease tension and make the work feel enjoyable for both.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
I wish people viewed therapy as a sidekick to life, a right hand. It’s kind of like that cousin who tells it like it is and calls you out. But in therapy, it’s less messy, productive, insightful and transformative.
