Education
Univeristy of North Florida, Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Mental Health Sexology, 2023 — My academic background includes a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specialized certification in Mental Health Sexology. This training has provided me with a strong foundation in evidence-based mental health treatment while also deepening my understanding of human sexuality, intimacy, relationships, and emotional wellness. My education allows me to support clients with concerns related to anxiety, self-esteem, communication, identity exploration, relationship dynamics, and sexual health in a compassionate and affirming way. I integrate clinical knowledge with a culturally sensitive, client-centered approach to help individuals and couples feel understood, empowered, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
Work HistoryMy clinical experience has allowed me to work with individuals across different stages of life and emotional needs, helping shape my compassionate and client-centered approach to therapy. Early in my career, I worked as a behavioral therapist supporting children with developmental disabilities and their families. This experience strengthened my patience, empathy, communication skills, and understanding of how emotional and behavioral challenges can impact both individuals and relationships. I also worked at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, where I provided emotional support, crisis intervention, and community resources to individuals experiencing distress, isolation, trauma, and suicidal thoughts through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL). Supporting people during some of their most vulnerable moments deepened my ability to listen without judgment and help clients feel safe, heard, and supported. These experiences continue to influence my work today, especially my commitment to creating an affirming space where clients can openly explore mental health, relationships, intimacy, identity, and personal growth.
