Get To Know Me
What does a first session with you look like?
In our first session together, I will make sure you have an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have. I get a lot of "first-timers" to therapy! Once your questions are answered, we will focus on what you are here for, including what you hope your life looks like if therapy is successful. I'll complete a brief assessment to understand how your past may be impacting your present, and we will work together to set personal goals for your time in treatment.
What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?
One of my biggest strengths as a therapist is that I am always doing this work myself as well. I have my own therapist, and I am often seeking additional learning opportunities to help myself and also help my clients in their work. I am passionate about this work, and I genuinely enjoy it!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
It is my hope and goal that all clients take away from our therapy sessions a sense of being seen, experience therapy as a genuinely judgement free zone, and feel supported and held in what they are going through. I often times provide suggested activities for clients to work on in between session that are optional.
