What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I have provided a listening ear to others for as long as I can remember. My dream to work as a counselor/therapist solidified when I took my first psychology course in 8th grade. Having a family history of addiction and codependency, my passion turned to help others understand patterns of behavior and how to unlearn unhealthy habits. Assisting others in finding and living from their authentic self has been a passion for years.

I am a clinical therapist licensed in Michigan with over 5 years of experience working with substance use and co-occurring disorders. I have assisted clients with depression and anxiety, relapse prevention, codependency and other mental health diagnoses. I believe that each client is the expert of their own life, and it is my job to assist them in achieving their goals through empowerment and self-determination. Utilizing motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused perspectives and trauma informed practices I partner with each client to create a person-centered plan to make their desired ambitions a reality. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
