Under Clinical Supervision

Ms. Katherine Sullivan, Licensed Associate Counselor, 37AC00832300 is practicing under the supervision of Titania Grant (New Jersey, LPC, 37PC00679600) at TG Counseling and Consulting Services LLC.

Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.

What would be important for someone to know about working with you?

In therapy sessions with me, I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can openly express your feelings and emotions. Our work together focuses on helping you develop positive coping skills and make healthy life choices that align with your unique lifestyle and abilities. I aim to support you in recognizing your strengths, improving your self-esteem, and building confidence. Everyone has different backgrounds and experiences, and I believe that you are the expert on your life. My role is to guide and support you in making decisions and changes that will benefit your overall well-being.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

With several years of experience in various therapeutic settings, I have provided individual and group therapy across different levels of care, including partial care, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs. My diverse experience has allowed me to support clients with a wide range of mental health needs and life challenges. I take an integrative approach to therapy, empowering clients to work towards better overall wellness. My goal is to help clients discover positive coping skills and make healthy life choices that align with their unique lifestyle and abilities. By tailoring the therapeutic process to each client’s needs, I strive to foster personal growth, resilience, and long-term well-being.

If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?

For those hesitant to try therapy, I’d want you to know that therapy is a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. It’s not about being told what to do, but about having someone who truly listens, supports, and helps you gain clarity. Therapy can help you build coping skills, overcome challenges, and empower you to make positive changes in your life. It's an opportunity for growth, and the first step can be the most rewarding one.

Work History

I am a Licensed Associate Counselor with a background helping clients who struggle with addictions and mental health concerns. Using unconditional positive regard and empathy, I help the client explore their thoughts and behaviors. My integrative approach to therapy empowers clients to work towards a life of better overall wellness. I have had several years of experience working in various settings, providing individual and group therapy. This includes partial care, intensive outpatient, and outpatient. I have expertise working with clients with the following diagnoses anxiety, depression, bipolar, and even schizoaffective disorders. Many of the clients have had co-occurring diagnoses, which is a mental health diagnosis, in addition to an alcohol and/or substance use disorder. I work with clients to assist them with finding more positive coping skills and making healthy life choices that align with their lifestyle and abilities.
