What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Working with me means having a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your challenges and strengths. I take a collaborative approach, focusing on understanding your unique experiences and helping you build practical strategies for growth and well-being. I specialize in working with adults and teens who are navigating ADHD, emotional eating, and relationship challenges. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I believe in fostering self-acceptance while providing tools to enhance focus, manage impulses, and develop healthier habits. Whether in-person or virtual, I aim to create a therapeutic environment where you feel supported and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
My personality plays a big role in how I approach therapy. I’m naturally warm, approachable, and direct, which helps me build genuine connections with clients. I value honesty and authenticity, and I encourage clients to show up as their true selves without fear of judgment. I also bring a sense of curiosity and creativity into our work, which allows me to find practical and unique ways to address challenges. My own journey with ADHD has taught me the importance of self-acceptance and using strengths to overcome obstacles, and I bring that perspective into my practice. Ultimately, I aim to create a space where clients feel both seen and supported while we work together to build strategies that feel realistic and empowering.
What does a first session with you look like?
In our first session, I focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your goals, any challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask about your experiences with therapy in the past (if any) and what has or hasn’t worked for you. I strive to create a comfortable and welcoming environment, where you feel safe to share your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I’ll also explain how I approach therapy and give you a chance to ask any questions. My goal for the first session is to make you feel heard and supported while laying the foundation for our work together. By the end of the session, we'll have a clearer idea of what our journey might look like, and you’ll leave with a sense of direction and reassurance that you’re not navigating this alone.

Work History
I have over 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate challenges related to ADHD, emotional eating, and emotional well-being. My background as a licensed clinical social worker and supervisor (LCSW-S) has given me the opportunity to work with teens, adults, and families in various settings, including schools, community mental health, and private practice. Throughout my career, I have specialized in supporting clients with ADHD and those struggling with emotional eating by offering practical strategies and compassionate guidance. I focus on helping clients understand their unique strengths and develop tools to manage stress, improve focus, and foster self-acceptance. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to meet each client’s needs, whether through one-on-one therapy, group sessions, or workshops. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make positive changes.
