Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I believe each client has radical awareness about themselves. You know yourself better than anyone else. Thus, I work with clients to guide them into a place of reaching their goals about how they want to change, what they can do to feel or think differently if that is their desire.
Were there lessons in your professional or academic career that left an impression on you, and how has that informed your work today?
I participated in a class focused on LGBTQIA+ folks during my Master's Degree work at University of Michigan. Students were invited to step outside their comfort zone in order to get a different perspective on others' lives. This helped me to be more open-minded as I work with people from various backgrounds.
What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?
My biggest strength as a therapist is my ability to remain nonjudgmental. I strive to create a safe space for clients, and I adapt to each client's needs with ease.

Work HistoryMy two decades of work experience has shown me that we all are lifetime learners. I learn from my clients as we work together, as much as they learn from me. My history working with people who have substance use disorders has taught me how to be humble in the face of chemical dependency. I have worked closely with youth and adults as they process grief, as I am a clinician with Ele's Place in Ann Arbor. People who have anxiety, depression, and relationship issues are also common clientele in my office, and I continue to enhance my knowledge through trainings focused on these topics.
