Get To Know Me
If you could pick one movie or book that influenced your approach to therapy, what would it be and why?
I would choose The Gift of Therapy by Irvin Yalom. His writing captures the importance of the therapeutic relationship and the power of authentic human connection in healing. I appreciate how he emphasizes curiosity, presence, and vulnerability as central to therapy and these are values I carry into my own practice. The book reminds me that therapy is not only about techniques, but about creating a safe, genuine space where people can explore their struggles and move toward growth.
What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
For me, openness is at the heart of effective therapy. I see our work together as a partnership, and that means creating space where clients feel safe to be fully themselves without judgment or pressure. Openness includes sharing honestly about thoughts, feelings, and experiences, but it also means being willing to give me feedback if something doesn’t feel right or isn’t resonating.
I believe therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” process; it should adapt to the unique person sitting across from me. When clients are open about what’s working and what’s not, it helps us adjust together and build a process that truly supports growth. In my view, that kind of mutual openness builds trust, strengthens the therapeutic relationship, and empowers clients to take ownership of their healing journey.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
I want people to know that therapy is a non-judgmental space. Anything you’re worried or nervous to bring up is exactly the kind of thing we want to explore together and feeling nervous about it is completely normal. Therapy is also a space where you have choices. You control the pace and you can take as much time as you need to address any topic. I always tell people, "This is your time". You can eat while we talk, you can take a break, you can use whatever kind of colorful language may suit you, you can share your unfiltered thoughts...all of it. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate your challenges at your own rhythm.

Work HistoryI am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience across diverse clinical settings, including hospitals, college counseling centers, adoption agencies, and elder care homes. For the past 5 years, I’ve worked in private practice, where I provide individual therapy to adults virtually.
My approach is warm, curious, and collaborative. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based work, and compassion-focused methods. I tailor sessions to each client’s needs and I believe in meeting you where you are. I listen for both what is spoken and unspoken and I value helping you move toward meaningful, sustainable change.
Please note:
-While I have extensive experience supporting adults with ADD/ADHD, I do not provide formal diagnoses or prescribe medication.
-I do not provide Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters, as this is outside my clinical scope of practice.
