What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach to therapy is relational at its core. I believe that our well-being is deeply connected to the quality of our relationships—whether with partners, family, friends, or ourselves. As a relational therapist, I help clients identify patterns, improve communication, and develop deeper emotional awareness so they can create healthier, more fulfilling connections. My style is direct yet compassionate, offering a safe space to explore challenges while encouraging meaningful growth and change. I am honest and open with my clients because I believe real change happens when we can be truthful with ourselves. At the same time, I bring warmth and care into every session, creating a space where you feel supported, not judged. Therapy can be hard work, but that doesn’t mean it has to feel heavy all the time—sometimes, a little humor helps us see things from a new perspective. I meet my clients where they are, offering both encouragement and gentle challenges to help them move forward in a way that feels real and meaningful.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
If there’s one thing I wish people knew about therapy, it’s that you deserve it. You deserve a space where you can be truly heard and seen—not just by the people in your life, but by yourself. We all need a place where we can untangle our thoughts, process our feelings, and better understand ourselves without fear of judgment. Therapy isn’t about being “broken” or needing to be “fixed”—it’s about giving yourself the time and care to explore who you are, what you need, and how you want to move forward. Too often, we convince ourselves that we should be able to handle things on our own or that our struggles aren’t "big enough" to warrant help. But the truth is, you don’t have to go through life’s challenges alone. Therapy is a safe and supportive space where you can reflect, gain clarity, and grow in ways that feel meaningful to you. And no matter what brings you to therapy, you are worthy of that space.

Work History
I bring over 30 years of experience in marketing and communications, which means I deeply understand how people connect, communicate, and create meaning in their lives. My career path eventually led me to become a therapist, where I now help individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. Before opening my private practice, I worked in a nonprofit setting, supporting people through difficult transitions. I also have experience in grief counseling for children, helping young ones process loss in a way that feels safe and supportive. In addition, my advocacy work in the LGBTQ+ community has reinforced my belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued in their relationships and personal growth. Beyond my professional experience, I am also a mother and part of a blended family, which gives me firsthand insight into the complexities of family dynamics, change, and resilience. All of these experiences—professional and personal—allow me to support my clients in navigating life’s transitions, whether they’re facing relationship challenges, personal growth hurdles, or major life changes. I know that change can feel overwhelming, but I also know that with the right support, it can lead to incredible transformation.
