Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I am patient and compassionate when I am meeting with my clients. I strive to understand them and appreciate their unique lives and struggles. I genuinely care deeply for people and believe that therapy can promote healing.
Clients often would like to know how the first steps of starting therapy work. You will either call or make contact through my website and then our intake coordinator will discuss scheduling, insurance, fees, and how to best contact me for your session, whether virtually or by being given directions to the office.
During our first session, whether in person or virtual, we will discuss the reasons that you are seeking therapy, share any background information that you feel is relevant, and then we will talk about interventions that will best fit your needs and that you will feel most comfortable with. We will then make a plan and set up a schedule that is convenient for you.

Work HistoryI am accepting new clients for both in-person and telehealth sessions! I am thankful to have spent the past 17+ years helping adults who are struggling with substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, stress, and trauma. I have worked in outpatient and a partial hospitalization (intensive day treatment) settings with a wide range of people experiencing mental health issues, life stress, addiction, loss, and other life events. I find the therapeutic process to be one of growth, change, and healing and I am dedicated to assisting my clients along their journey to recovery.
I understand how important it is to feel accepted and I believe that the most important part of the therapeutic relationship centers on compassionate acceptance and understanding. This is why my primary goal is to create a safe and supportive space for you to feel free to be yourself as together we embark on your unique journey toward recovery.
I use a variety of therapeutic techniques that are selected to most effectively meet your individual needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, person-centered, and strengths-based therapy. Together we will identify the approach that works best to help you identify and achieve your goals. I look forward to walking with you on your journey to becoming your best self!
