In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
I am passionate about women's mental health and chronic illness due to my own experience navigating complex chronic health issues. I understand what it is like to navigate daily pain, to endure years of medical treatments, invasive procedures and work through grief and loss. I am a proud advocate for women with chronic illness and disabilities and feel my personal experience makes the therapeutic journey that much more impactful. I want to walk along side you in your grief, provide realistic coping skills and tools to manage chronic illness and help you find joy in life even in the midst of loss.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I value an integrative therapeutic approach, rooted in supportive psychodynamic therapy as well as trauma informed Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I want you to feel safe and supported while also gaining real life tools, worksheets and techniques to manage anxiety, pain and trauma.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
You are an intelligent, high achieving woman who is dealing with the grief of a diagnosis, anxiety and chronic illness while juggling it all: a career, family, a partner, friends, dating and your health. You are a teen girl dealing with endometriosis trying to study, play sports and maintain your friendships in high school. You are a strong woman feeling overwhelmed navigating anxiety, grief, loss, or women's health issues such as chronic illness, infertility or pregnancy loss. You want to figure out a way to not just survive with women's health issues but to thrive-you need support, tools and a place grieve. If this sounds like you, Women's CBT is the place for you.

Work History
I attended the The George Washington University located in Washington, D.C. earning my master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. This expertise and niche degree allows me to meet clients where they are in their chronic illness and disability journey with therapeutic warmth & practical tools. I completed my residency of supervised counseling work in New York City, working in both non-profit settings and private practice. I value continued education and have obtained specialized training from advanced institutes including Postpartum Support International and the Albert Ellis Training Institute in Manhattan. My therapeutic approach blends an integrative use of evidenced based practices including trauma informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, somatic/mindfulness tools and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I utilize an individual and holistic lens when working with clients.
