Work HistoryMy journey as a clinical social worker has been… eclectic! I began working in in-patient substance use and psychiatric care and pivoted to the school system. I loved the clientele in the hospital setting but the systemic barriers were something I found difficult to align with. The public school system was where I discovered my passion for working with neurodivergent people! Celebrating their unique strengths and helping identify barriers to overcome challenges was my focus, but ultimately I found similarly to most organized institutions, the politics and paperwork were interfering with my main priority and focus— the well-being of my clients! I decided it was time to pursue telehealth private practice therapy and I found everything I had been seeking; balanced work and life ratio, positive outcomes for my clients, prioritized and individualized support, just as therapy should be.
