What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
Depending on your needs, our work may incorporate evolutionary informed psychology to explore how our biological and psychological instincts shape modern challenges offering clients a deeper understanding of the “why” behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; existential talk therapy to support meaning-making, personal freedom, and resilience through uncertainty; mindfulness-based interventions to help manage stress and reconnect to the present moment; narrative approaches, or integrative tools such as Tarot for reflection and symbolic insight.
What does a first session with you look like?
Before discussing what brings you to therapy I want to learn a bit about who you are and what’s important to you — your background, your family, your values, and anything that shapes how you see the world. I operate from a biopsychosocial-cultural-spiritual model, seeing the person as a whole system influenced by: biology (body, brain), psychology (thoughts, emotions), social context (relationships, institutions), culture & identity (values, traditions), and lived experiences (trauma, privilege, resilience). Together we will identify themes or domains that matter most to you such as: emotional regulation, relationships or communication, self-esteem or identity, career satisfaction or work-life balance, coping with trauma, loss, or stress (to name a few examples) and then collaboratively define goals you would like to achieve through counseling.

Work HistorySince graduating from NC State in 2023, I’ve been working exclusively in private practice at Nour Counseling in Raleigh, NC. I’ve had the privilege of being part of a practice whose philosophy deeply honors the ways our intersecting identities shape how we see the world and experience life’s challenges.
