Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Time with me is a safe space to be unapologetically you. You can laugh, cry, scream and cuss. You can talk all you want or just reflect in the silence. However you want to navigate your journey, I’m here for it.
The client/therapist relationship is THE most important part of the healing process. Finding a counselor who makes you feel cared for, heard and seen is so important More than anything I want improved mental health for you and for that to happen, you need to find the therapist that is right for you. Schedule a consultation call and as long as we are a good fit, we can move mountains, but if it’s not me, that’s ok too. Not every therapist is for you, nor should they be.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
As someone who's been both a school counselor and held leadership roles at the campus and district level, I have a unique skillset to benefit you as your executive therapist. I've had the privilege of being a trusted advisor for principals and district leaders, helping them navigate through tough decisions and complex situations both professionally & personally and I can do that for you. I've also been a strong advocate for teachers and counselors, understanding firsthand the impact different leadership styles can have on their work and morale. We can apply this viewpoint to your challenges as well.
My unique perspective along with the blend of professional insight and personal approach makes me well-suited to support you as an executive therapist. We will spend the first session getting to one another, completing any unfinished paper work, and talking about your goals for therapy. Then we will meet weekly to tackle whatever it is that is holding you back from being your best you. No homework or book studies, who has time for that? We will learn and practice skills in session for you to apply to your everyday life. I know it can be hard, but take the first step and reach out to me so we can can get started.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
No single approach works for everyone. As an eclectic psychotherapist, I am client-centered and responsive to your unique goals and circumstances. I believe you benefit most from a combination of techniques based on your individual needs, personality, and preferences. I integrate a variety of approaches and techniques from multiple theories such as CBT, DBT, SFBT, EFT, along with mindfulness and meditation to tailor an effective personalized treatment to fit your unique needs.

Work HistoryOver the last 2 decades I have been working with children, parents, faculty and staff as a middle school counselor. While my priority was counseling teens, a big portion of my time was spent being a confidant and counselor to parents, colleagues, and district leadership. Navigating the various needs of a wide array of personalities has provided a wide array of experience and counseling opportunities that have prepared me to work in the private sector.
