Education
Touro University Worldwide, Master of Arts, Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis on Licensed Proffesional Clinical Counseling, 2025 — I hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis on Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling. My training focused on understanding individuals, couples, and families within the rich contexts of their culture, history, and life experiences. I was trained to approach therapy with humility, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story, emphasizing culturally affirming practices and relational understanding. Through my degree, I engaged in research and clinical experiences that highlighted the importance of context in mental health and relationships, including how systems, culture, and social dynamics influence individual and family well-being. I participated in collaborative learning communities and professional groups, which strengthened my ability to practice ethically, reflectively, and inclusively. This training allows me to integrate research-informed strategies with a compassionate, culturally sensitive approach that honors the full complexity of each person’s life and identity.
Work HistorySince January 2024, I have been working at my current practice, supporting clients from a wide range of backgrounds with a variety of life challenges. Over this time, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship struggles, and identity questions. This experience has helped me develop a deep understanding of how people’s personal history, culture, and context shape their experiences and coping strategies. I’ve learned to tailor my approach to each person’s unique needs, supporting them in finding clarity, building resilience, and connecting more deeply with themselves and others. Through my work, I’ve found a particular strength in creating a safe and affirming space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported in exploring their inner world and discovering their own solutions. I approach therapy with curiosity, humility, and a focus on understanding the whole person—not just their challenges.
