Under Clinical Supervision
Mrs. Kyra Eva Contreras, Licensed Associate Counselor, 99122249A is practicing under the supervision of Gretchen Cottrell (Indiana, LCSW, 34005543A) at Indiana University Hospital.
Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Growing up my parent inculcated in me the power of giving. Feeding those less fortunate was how I spent my weekends. Years later, empowering, encouraging individuals is a standard I live.
What does a first session with you look like?
I believe in fostering deep levels of communication. A first session will consist of gathering information about you. As we build rapport, during those 55 minutes, I will ask you about your hobbies, occupations, and your values. As we discover what is most important in your life, we will explore your unique challenges and history. During this time, you can also ask me any questions you may have.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
As a licensed clinician I incorporate evidenced based science, empathy, attentive listening in every session. Let’s chat.
