Education
Capella University, Doctorate of Philosophy, Counselor Education and Supervision , 2025 — I earned my Doctorate of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2025 from Capella University. I completed courses courses in teaching, supervision, evaluation, and research methodology. My dissertation was entitled "Describing the Advocacy Efforts of Professional Counselors with Intersectional Identities". This research focused on how counselors with multiple marginalized identities advocated and what impact their identities may have had on their advocacy efforts.
Capella University, Master of Science, Mental Health Counseling, 2011 — I graduated from Capella University in 2011 with a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling. Areas of focus included child and adolescent therapy and family therapy. I graduated with high honors and completed both my practicum and internship experiences working with youth with severe emotional disturbances and their families.
