If you could pick one movie or book that influenced your approach to therapy, what would it be and why?

The body keeps the score. I read this book when I was at Barry University, and it really changed my life. From healing my own personal traumas to assisting others to do the same in my sessions, this book is why I heavily practice mind-body focused approaches.

What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

After reading the book “A child called it” by Dave Pelzer in the 7th grade, I wanted to make a difference in others’ lives the way Ms.Gold did for Dave. My Senior year in high school, at a college tour, I stumbled upon social work as a major. It felt right, so I went for it and never looked back.

Work History

When I envision my ideal client, I actually envision myself. Growing up with complex childhood PTSD, anxiety, and depression, I had to figure out how to maneuver my symptoms. I’ve tried regular talk therapy, EMDR (which really really helped), medication management (I felt way worse before I felt some improvement), then I tried Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy through Ketamine. This is the most life changing thing I’ve tried so far in my healing journey. As a licensed psychotherapist in FL, DC, NJ, and ME, I want to use my skills and 10 years experience to help others change their lives and breakthrough their deep trauma. I am also a certified clinical trauma professional and a certified clinical telemental health provider. Now, do you need my help? If so, then let’s chat. After the initial session, we will have 8 (2 hours) ketamine dosing sessions, 8 processing sessions, then you can fly free and go be your best self. I have partnered with Journey Clinical to aid with providing the ketamine prescriptions to clients that meet criteria for Ketamine Therapy in FL, NJ, and ME. You can expect deep transformations to start occurring when we begin working with Ketamine in our sessions. In our processing sessions, I mostly use EMDR, body-therapies, IFS, and Mindfulness (MBCT). All are evidence-based practices that are known to bring transformative results. Call or Email me if you want to go beyond what talk therapy can help you with and experience long lasting shifts in your symptoms.
