If you could pick one movie or book that influenced your approach to therapy, what would it be and why?
The body keeps the score. I read this book when I was at Barry University, and it really changed my life. From healing my own personal traumas to assisting others to do the same in my sessions, this book is why I heavily practice mind-body focused approaches.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
After reading the book “A child called it” by Dave Pelzer in the 7th grade, I wanted to make a difference in others’ lives the way Ms.Gold did for Dave. My Senior year in high school, at a college tour, I stumbled upon social work as a major. It felt right, so I went for it and never looked back.

Work HistoryWhen I envision my ideal client, I actually envision the old version of myself. Growing up with complex childhood trauma, I had to figure out how to maneuver my symptoms. I’ve tried regular talk therapy, EMDR (which really really helped), medication management (I felt way worse before I felt a tiny bit of improvement), then I tried Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy through Ketamine. This is the most life changing thing I’ve tried so far in my healing journey. As a licensed psychotherapist in FL, DC, NJ, and ME, and as a certified clinical trauma professional, I want to use my skills and 11 years of experience to help survivors of abuse overcome the lasting effects of trauma.
You can expect deep transformations to start occurring when we begin working with Ketamine in our sessions. In our processing sessions, I use evidence-based therapies to bring transformative results; such as EMDR, body-therapies, IFS, and Mindfulness (MBCT). Contact me if you want to go beyond the limits of traditional talk therapy and experience transformative shifts in your life.
