What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Growing up my family entered into therapy when my older sister was struggling with her own mental health. We had family sessions and individual sessions. I really liked out therapist who helped us all feel good after meeting with him. We ended up nicknaming him "Feel Good Jeff". I met with him off and on throughout my childhood whenever I needed extra support around certain issues. I even spent one session role playing being a therapist when I expressed wanting to help other families the way that he helped mine.

Work HistoryI have been working for over a decade in the perinatal and postpartum mental health space. I started as a community mental health therapist specializing in working with families with children birth to five years old addressing trauma, anxiety, development, attachment, and parenting. I decided to pivot to private practice when I became a parent myself to have more time to spend with my children and focus more on postpartum due to my own struggles with postpartum anxiety. I now work with parents struggling in the fertility, pregnancy and postpartum stage with all the ups and downs of building a family. I also help with parenting support as the child gets older into the toddler and preschooler phase when parents struggle with how to address behavioral concerns in a way that lives into their values and respects their child's developmental stage.
