Get To Know Me
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
My clients can expect a collaborative and supportive space where they feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is nonjudgmental and affirming, honoring each person’s unique identity, experiences, and goals. Together, we’ll work to develop practical tools and strategies that are meaningful and sustainable in everyday life. You can also expect to explore new perspectives that invite growth, clarity, and deeper self-understanding. My goal is to walk alongside you as we navigate challenges, celebrate progress, and foster resilience at a pace and in a direction that feels right for you.
What should we know about your experiences and background?
Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years working in international education, supporting college students from around the world who were studying in the U.S. on scholarship. In that role, I had the privilege of walking alongside students as they adjusted to life in a new country, navigating cultural differences, academic pressures, and homesickness. I learned just how important it is to create a space where people feel safe, seen, and supported as they work through change and uncertainty. This experience helped shape my understanding of cultural identity, transition, and the importance of compassionate, culturally informed care.
I’ve also volunteered as an ESL teacher and tutor with immigrants in the Washington, D.C. area. These one-on-one connections gave me a window into the strength and resilience people carry as they rebuild their lives in new and unfamiliar environments. Listening to their stories and offering support during such a meaningful time in their journey reminded me how healing it can be to simply have someone who’s willing to listen and walk with you through challenges.
In addition to these roles, I worked behind the scenes at a counseling center, where I helped with day-to-day operations and got to see the therapeutic process from a different perspective. That experience helped me appreciate the care and intention that goes into creating a welcoming and consistent therapeutic space, something I now strive to offer my own clients.
These experiences have all shaped how I show up as a therapist. They’ve deepened my commitment to providing warm, nonjudgmental, and culturally responsive support, especially for those navigating life transitions, identity questions, or feeling caught between different worlds. Whether you're seeking clarity, healing, or simply someone to talk to, I’m here to support you in a way that honors your unique story and strengths.

Work HistoryIn my work, I’ve had the opportunity to support adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples in private practice. My experience has focused on helping clients navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout, among other issues. Many of the people I work with are managing high expectations, whether from school, work, or themselves, and are looking for a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with their values.
Through this work, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the pressures young people and adults face in today’s world, from perfectionism and identity exploration to the impact of societal stressors. I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their inner world, building self-awareness, and moving toward meaningful change. My background also includes working with clients on self-esteem, boundaries, communication, and emotional regulation. These experiences continue to shape the way I support people in therapy: with compassion, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit.
