Work HistoryI spent about a year primarily working in addiction treatment, running an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for largely court-ordered users of heroin. I spent about 4 years working with children, adolescents and their families with a large percentage having a trauma-related diagnosis. Prior to becoming a licensed counselor, I worked at two residential psychiatric treatment facilities for youth and one for adults, all which were Medicaid-funded. I now enjoy working with both adolescents and adults in an outpatient setting.
