Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
When my father passed away unexpectedly at 15, I had no one to guide me. That was the painful catalyst that made me realize my purpose: to be the guide for others that I so desperately needed back then. Fast forward through years of diverse experience—from youth mental health to LGBTQ+ sexual health and housing assistance—and here I am, with a Master's in Social Work and a mission to empower you.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
Therapy shouldn't be a dry space. I'm someone who leads with warmth and empathy. I balance being deeply understanding while relying on humor to keep things in perspective and stay grounded. I am a visual learner and try to bring a lot of that into the therapuetic space through the use of worksheets, images, and videos.
What does a first session with you look like?
The first few sessions are designed to allow you to establish trust and comfort within the space while I gather information about your medical, personal, relationship, and family background history. The focus is on getting to know you. You set the pace and decide what you are comfortable sharing.

Work HistoryI've worked with an array of populations throughout my career. My most recent work involves working at a sexual health center where I provided HIV/STI testing and prevention services (including linkage to PrEP). We focused on the LGBTQ+ population and reducing the risk for STI and HIV infection through safer sex practices. In 2023, I transitioned to outpatient therapy where I have expertise in working with adults navigating anixety, depression, emotional overwhelm, grief/loss, and trauma.
