Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I take a psychodynamic/attachment-based approach, meaning our sessions look at how past relationships shape our sense of self and inform our current and future relationships. Many of my clients share that our sessions feel like a conversation, while helping them recognize deeper patterns and possibilities for change. I also like to suggest actionable steps clients can consider, while recognizing clients are the experts of their own life and will find the best possible solution for them.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I bring a sense of humor and warmth into our session. As I shared earlier, I think it is important that therapy feels like a normal conversation because the work is fundamentally a relationship and conversation with goals in mind. I aim to be transparent, sharing my reasoning for asking or suggesting things, and also value when clients may have questions of me or about me.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In much of my clinical work and research in graduate school, I have learned how impactful the relational aspect of therapy is. One thing I want clients to take away is the sense of warmth and caring I offer, and hopefully providing that for themselves. The other take-away would be accepting the complexities of life and how things may not be easily categorized, and learning how to manage that on their own terms.

Education
San Francisco State University, Master of Science, Clinical Psychology, 2020 — I was part of SFSU's joint research-clinical track, conducting both therapy and research in my program. Regarding clinical experience, I held groups in a residential facility, conducted assessments for folks experiencing psychosis, and provided individual therapy for community members in SF in a college counseling center. I also coordinated research on social motivation in people with psychosis, and my Master's thesis examined variables affecting the therapeutic relationship and outcomes.
University of California, San Diego, Bachelor of Science, Psychology, 2016
Work HistoryA majority of my experience post-graduate has been at Kaiser Permanente working with children and families. I have worked with families of all different backgrounds with various challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, family conflict, substance use, etc. My primary focus was on contentious family relationships, LGBTQ+ youth, Borderline Personality Disorder, and psychosis. I have also worked in residentials for youth, shelters for formerly homeless adults, and college counseling centers. I really enjoy working with teens and young adults in supporting them build their own sense of self and helping them navigate the complexities of adulthood.
