Training/CertificationsGraduate Certificate in Expressive Art Therapy
Education
Prescott College, Master of Science, Master of Science in Counseling, 2024 — During my master I added an expressive art therapy certificate utilizing art therapy modalities in treatment. This training doubled my graduate clinical experiences adding some creativity to my sessions when a client wants.
Work HistoryI worked for a mental health clinic with ages 10 and up in groups and one-on-one. DBT known as dialectical behavior therapy, focuses on building awareness, managing stress, identifying feelings and expressing our wants and needs to others, while hearing them out as well. Over time I found ways to teach these lessons through, straightforward learning, storytelling, conversation, and creative projects. I was able to bring artsy projects to groups and hear peoples stories in individual sessions. I never knew what each day would bring but I would come everyday ready to listen.
