Education
University of Pittsburgh, Master of Social Work, Mental Health Certification, 2013 — I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Pittsburgh, a program deeply rooted in clinical excellence, social justice, and evidence-based practice. My training focused on empowering individuals to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-compassion. Through Pitt’s nationally recognized curriculum, I gained hands-on experience working with diverse populations and honed my ability to create a safe, supportive space for healing and growth.
Allegheny College, Bachelor of Science, Psychology, 2009 — I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Allegheny College, a rigorous liberal arts program that emphasized critical thinking, human behavior, and research-driven understanding. My education laid a strong foundation for my work as a therapist, teaching me to approach each client with curiosity, empathy, and a deep respect for their lived experience.
Work HistoryOver the years, my work has centered around helping people feel understood, supported, and empowered to make real change in their lives. I began my career in mental health working with children and teens in school settings, where I supported students struggling with anxiety, trauma, and behavioral challenges. I partnered with families and schools to help kids feel safe, connected, and better able to cope with the demands around them. This experience helped me develop a deep understanding of how early experiences shape us—and how healing can begin when someone finally sees and hears you. Later, I worked in community and outpatient mental health settings, where I provided therapy to individuals facing a wide range of issues—from depression and anxiety to trauma, grief, and major life transitions. I’ve supported clients navigating burnout, relationship struggles, self-worth, and identity concerns. This is where I really honed my skills in creating a non-judgmental space where people can be honest, messy, and real. In private practice today, I specialize in working with Millennial and Gen Z women, trauma survivors, and neurodivergent clients. I bring evidence-based strategies into our sessions, but I also show up as a human being—someone who’s done the work too and knows what it’s like to rebuild and grow.
