Under Clinical Supervision

Leticia Berg, Limited Licensed Psychologist, 6361007814 is practicing under the supervision of Felicia Brabec (Michigan, Licensed Psychologist, 6301012378) at Berg Psychotherapy Associates.

Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.

What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

I was a stay at home mom for 12 years and it was the best job I've ever had. I loved the time I spent each day witnessing the full range of my children's day-to-day experiences, but I also realized that would also benefit immensely from seeing me living the full range of my own life, and that meant re-cultivating who I was outside of being their mom. I felt it was one of the best ways for me to model what happiness looked like so that they would also learn to set goals and chase their own dreams. I've always had a desire to be of service to others and I initially entered a pre-med program when I decided to go back to school for a graduate degree. Since my kids were still young, the many training hours required at various hospitals in addition to course work, proved too much of a juggling act for my husband and I. I decided to take a break and re-conceptualize how I could work in a field that allowed me to contribute to the care, health and well-being of others. I read about a school of psychology that focused on the humanistic, person-centered approach to mental health and that resonated with me quite a bit.

What would be important for someone to know about working with you?

I am very interested in getting to know the whole of a person, not just their pathology. I want clients to know that the time they spend in therapy with me is a collaborative effort and a journey that will always be firmly focused on what is most present and important for them in any given moment. So even if we've been working on a specific theme or addressing recurring patterns, if something comes up that feels more relevant in the moment, I will always defer to what the client wants/needs in the moment because they are ultimately the experts of their own lives and I hope to serve as a supportive guide and facilitator to help them achieve their therapeutic goals.

Fielding Graduate University, Master of Arts, Clinical Psychology, 2023

In my second Master's program, my areas of training included Exposure Response Therapy for OCD (ERP), Crisis counseling for sexual assault survivors, psychoeducational assessment and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia.

Michigan School of Psychology, Master of Arts, Clinical Psychology, 2019

My clinical expertise is working with survivors of trauma, sex abuse, social injustice, and domestic violence. I also work with individuals, couples, and families on building healthy relationships, coping with loss, overcoming anxiety and depression, as well as issues specifically relating to the LGBTQ population.

Work History

After graduating from my Masters program in 2019, I've been working as a psychotherapist in private practice for the past 5 years. I have worked as a marriage counselor and provided therapeutic interventions for a variety of mental health conditions including agoraphobia, personality disorders, body dysmorphia and depression among others. As a doctoral student, I have continued work in private practice and run group therapy in a forensic residential facility, served as a crisis counselor in a rape treatment center, presented cognitive behavioral didactics for insomnia patients receiving treatment at UCLA's behavioral medicine clinic and provided treatment for OCD patients in an intensive outpatient treatment program.
