Education
University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Master of Science, Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2024 — This graduate program provided me with extensive training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, assessment techniques, and ethical practices in mental health care. My coursework and clinical experiences focused on supporting individuals facing a range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges.
Work HistoryMy path to mental health counseling has been shaped by diverse experiences that help me connect with people from all walks of life. With a background in sociology, social work, and criminal justice, I’ve always been drawn to understanding people, systems, and the impact of mental health. Growing up in a diverse environment, I learned the importance of empathy, resilience, and cultural awareness—values that continue to shape my work. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a mental health tech, gaining hands-on experience in crisis intervention and direct client care. My work in legal research strengthened my understanding of advocacy, ethics, and the connection between mental health and the justice system. Graduate school expanded my clinical skills, allowing me to provide therapy for individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, among others. I’ve worked with student-athletes, professionals, and people from all backgrounds, helping them build resilience and navigate life’s challenges. I bring a well-rounded, down-to-earth approach to therapy, integrating my experiences to create a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered in their growth.
