Get To Know Me
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
I wish people knew that therapy isn’t about being “fixed” or having all the answers—it’s about having a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Each of our experiences are special, different, and challenging in their own ways. Small steps can lead to meaningful change. Therapy is about you—your experiences, your needs, and your journey—and finding a therapist who makes you feel comfortable can make all the difference.
What impact did the scope and/or focus of your education have on your current work as a therapist?
My education gave me a strong foundation in understanding human behavior, mental health, and the social systems that impact people’s lives. My studies have helped me see how factors like environment, trauma, and systemic barriers influence mental health, which allows me to take a holistic approach with my clients. My clinical training provided me with evidence-based tools for therapy, but my broader education helped me develop a deep sense of empathy and cultural awareness. This allows me to address individual mental health concerns while also considering the bigger picture—helping clients navigate personal challenges while acknowledging the larger systems that affect them.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and empowered with practical tools to navigate their challenges. My goal is to create a space where they feel safe to express themselves without judgment while also gaining new insights into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I focus on helping clients build self-awareness, develop coping strategies, and set realistic goals that align with their needs. Whether it’s learning how to manage stress, improve relationships, or work through difficult emotions, I tailor my approach to meet them where they are. I want clients to walk away from each session feeling a little more understood, encouraged, and empowered.

Education
University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Master of Science, Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2024 — This graduate program provided me with extensive training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, assessment techniques, and ethical practices in mental health care. My coursework and clinical experiences focused on supporting individuals facing a range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges.
Work HistoryMy path to mental health counseling has been shaped by diverse experiences that help me connect with people from all walks of life. With a background in sociology, social work, and criminal justice, I’ve always been drawn to understanding people, systems, and the impact of mental health.
Growing up in a diverse environment, I learned the importance of empathy, resilience, and cultural awareness—values that continue to shape my work. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a mental health tech, gaining hands-on experience in crisis intervention and direct client care. My work in legal research strengthened my understanding of advocacy, ethics, and the connection between mental health and the justice system.
Graduate school expanded my clinical skills, allowing me to provide therapy for individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, among others. I’ve worked with student-athletes, professionals, and people from all backgrounds, helping them build resilience and navigate life’s challenges.
I bring a well-rounded, down-to-earth approach to therapy, integrating my experiences to create a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered in their growth.
