Education
University of Chicago, Master of Arts, Clinical Social Work, 2018 — I earned my MA in clinical social from the University of Chicago, where I completed coursework in psychodynamic practice, family systems, and trauma. I have done post-graduate training and coursework in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), LGBTQIA+-affirming care, and feminist-relational treatment of trauma.
Work HistorySince 2018, I have worked as an outpatient therapist in various settings and with diverse populations. I have extensive experience working with youth and young adults, as well as adults of all ages. With experience in family and group therapy, in addition to community organizing, I am always holding the broader systems at play. I believe that family is always present in the therapy space, even in my work with individuals, and pay close attention to other system factors such as race, class, religion, gender, sexuality, life stressors, and systems of oppression. I center the client-therapist relationship in my work, and prioritize building rapport and safety so you can feel held and understood in sessions. I also enjoy working with clients in building healthy relationships, whether thats with friends, family, or romantic partners, as well as healthy relationships with the world. I support clients in strengthening their understanding of self, including identity exploration, and exploring life transitions such as career.
