Get To Know Me
What is your style/approach to therapy?
An integrative, person-centered approach blended with a variety of evidence-based modalities allows me to meet clients where they are. I emphasize collaboration so I can promote healing within your particular context and at your pace. Using a holistic framework that respects the individual experience and focuses on strengths and resources, I am here to provide safety and stability as we navigate your pain points and work toward positive change.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and accepted. I recognize getting started on a mental health journey can seem like an intimidating process, which is why I am committed to creating an inclusive and affirming therapeutic environment for people from all walks of life. In making therapy approachable and tailored to the individual, my goal is to reduce stigma around seeking help, especially in communities and homes where mental health challenges are often disregarded.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
When working with me, you can expect conversations and techniques that are approachable and culturally sensitive. Your voice and lived experience matter. In session, I will prioritize learning about you and your story, so you can begin to feel understood and grounded. I am intentional about building a therapeutic relationship based on warmth and trust, fortifying you to do the work of building self-awareness, replacing harmful or ineffective coping strategies, setting boundaries, and taking action steps towards your goals. After a few sessions, you will begin to feel grounded, self-possessed, and more aligned with your authentic self.
