What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?

Previous clients have said that they appreciate my balance of being direct, warm, engaging, easy to talk to, humorous, and empathic. It is such an honor for me to walk alongside my clients in their journeys to healing and see their growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will have brief introductions and talk about the therapy process. We will also discuss areas of concern and concentrate on what you would like to work on first. I focus on helping my clients achieve their short and long term goals in tangible, solution-focused ways so that they can get the most of out of therapy. That may include working on skills and tasks in between sessions to encourage continued growth. We may examine how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors impact mental health recovery and focus on creating coping skills for issues that have been making areas of life difficult for you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My hope is to make therapy the most helpful and productive experience for my clients, and I recognize that every person has their own path to learning and making progress. I utilize a tailored therapeutic approach that welcomes collaboration and feedback to most effectively meet my clients' needs. I enjoy partnering with my clients to help them develop skills and reach their goals quickly.

Work History

Hi there! Starting therapy can feel daunting and overwhelming, so I commend you on your courage to take the first step towards healing. My passion is helping clients heal from their hurt, reach their goals, and improve their quality of life. It is such an honor walking alongside my clients in their journeys to recovery and seeing their growth. I have worked with clients from all different backgrounds, cultures, and ages in both outpatient and emergency settings for the past 14 years. I received my Master's degree from Nova Southeastern University and have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for 8 years. My specialty is working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and the effects of trauma. I help clients get unstuck from the power that trauma can hold in their lives and the painful beliefs that can develop as a result. I focus on empowering survivors to take back control in healthy ways and find new meaning in their lives so they no longer feel defined by what has happened to them. Additionally, I help clients examine negative thinking patterns, brainstorm healthy coping skills, and work through difficult situations that create distress so that they can have a more peaceful life. I also support Christian clients grow in their identity and life purpose.
