Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I started my journey in Argentina where I worked as a non-denominational, Christian, missionary and soccer coach. I worked in a rural area where children had to grow up quickly in order to take care of siblings, help financially with their families, and often endured abuse and hardships. As I got to know these children and their families, I wanted to help in a way I was not trained to help. I reached out to local counselors and therapist and received on the job training for supporting children, couples, and families going through crisis. After working in Argentina for five years I recognized that I needed more training. I returned to the US to pursue my bachelors in psychology. After graduating in 2014 I returned to Argentina to train others and support the children and families I had previously worked with. I returned in 2015 and started working with a community service board to offer in school counseling, crisis care, and parent mentoring. I also worked at a residential facility that worked with troubled youth. in 2020 I recognized again my need for further education and began my Master of Clinical Mental Health degree. I have completed all of the course work and am now in my internship portion. I am expected to graduate in May of 2025.
I am constantly inspired by the youth I once worked with in Argentina. One has even followed my footsteps and is becoming a counselor and working in the same organization that I worked in when he was a child. I am also inspired daily with current clients as I see the growth, healing, and resiliency that each individual exhibits daily. I goal is to continue to work with children, adolescents, couples, and families on their personal mental health journey and continue to see healing and growth in our community.
What does a first session with you look like?
In the first session we will spend time building rapport and understanding what has brought you take this step in seeking counseling. We will discuss confidentiality and the counseling process. We will also look at what you would like to gain and experience in counseling as we set goals for our future session. The first session is a time where I can get to know you better and we can decide how we would like to work together and what benefits you want to gain in this process.

Work HistoryI am interested in working with individuals, couples, and families. I believe that healthy relationships can foster a healthy life. As social beings, I believe that our relationships have a profound impact on who we are, what we believe, and how we interact with the world around us. In working with individuals, couples, and families, my goal is to foster healing and growth in relationships, connection, thoughts, emotions, and communication.
I look forward to walking side by side, as you grow, heal, and continue on your journey of positive mental health and overall well-being. I hope to empower you to overcome any obstacle in your daily life in order to achieve the goals you set for yourself. I believe in utilizing a holistic, evidence-based approach in counseling. I intend to foster the counseling relationship with a person-centered, respectful, and empathetic approach to every individual I meet with. My training and experience have shaped me to utilize multiple techniques and models of counseling such as Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Gestalt, Psychodramatic, Family Systems, and Mindfulness techniques. I believe that looking at where a person has come from can tell a lot about where they are now in their journey and where they would like to be. I look forward to helping each client leave counseling with a better understanding of who they are and feeling a sense of healing and growth in the process.
I have over 10 years of experience working with kids, teens, families, and couples. I have helped those dealing with depression, anxiety, communication issues, trauma, relationship conflicts, and many other obstacles in life. I have worked both in the US and overseas (Argentina) and have grown to recognize the importance of a multicultural lens when working with individuals, couples, and families. We are each on a journey and I look forward to being a part of your journey.
