What is your style/approach to therapy?

Hey there! I'm Lisa and I teach anxious people-pleasers how to prioritize and honor themselves. It can be tricky managing the guilt of letting someone down or feeling selfish for choosing yourself. More often than not, dishonoring your boundaries turns into resentment, and that's not a pleasant emotion. So to avoid feeling that, you continue the cycle. Fortunately (and unfortunately), I've been there, done that, and I am here to help you break this cycle. We will work through the uncomfortable emotions you've been avoiding and I'll teach you skills such as boundary setting to help you become a more empowered you. As your therapist, I will be warm, empathetic, light-hearted yet serious. I will challenge you through introspective questioning that will lead you to your own answers. I believe that before everyone else told you who they wanted you to be, you knew who you wanted to be. I hope you'll witness yourself feeling more empowered, confident, and more at peace with yourself as my other clients have. You will notice your relationships evolve and change, which can be scary! Rest assured, you will be provided with skills to gracefully go through them. Everything you seek is already inside you. All I’m doing is helping you remember.
