Get To Know Me
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
Becoming a mother was a turning point for me—not just in my personal life, but in how I came to understand healing and human connection. I remember wanting so deeply to raise my child in a way that would break old cycles and avoid passing on the pain I had experienced. That desire to protect and nurture opened the door to a much bigger curiosity: Why do we carry what we carry? And how do we begin to let it go?
That curiosity led me into the world of mental health, and over time, it grew into a deep passion. What started as a personal journey became my life’s work. Now, as a therapist, I bring that same compassion and dedication into every session. I know what it’s like to want better—not just for your children or loved ones, but for yourself.
My own experiences have taught me that healing is possible, that it’s never too late to rewrite your story, and that being truly seen and supported can be life-changing. That’s the space I try to create for every person who walks into my therapy room—a place where they can feel safe, understood, and deeply cared for as they grow into the most authentic version of themselves.

Education
Sul Ross State University, Master of Education, Counseling, 2012 — Lizet Lopez Longoria holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counseling from Sul Ross State University, a program renowned for preparing graduates to excel in various counseling professions, including roles in K-12 public schools, the public sector, and private practice.
She completed the Clinical Mental Health Counseling track, which requires a minimum of 60 semester credit hours and prepares students to become Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs).
Ms. Longoria's completion of this rigorous program underscores her comprehensive training and dedication to the counseling profession, ensuring she is well-prepared to meet her clients' diverse needs.
Work HistoryMy path into mental health wasn’t a straight line—it began with a degree in Business Administration. But over time, I felt a deep pull toward people’s emotional stories—their struggles, their healing, and everything in between. That calling led me to pursue a Master’s in Counseling, and ever since, I’ve been honored to support others as they navigate life’s challenges.
As a first-generation Mexican American, I understand what it’s like to live between cultures, to navigate expectations, and to hold space for multiple identities at once. I speak both English and Spanish, and I see myself as bicultural—something that allows me to connect deeply with clients from diverse backgrounds. At the same time, I approach every person’s story with openness and respect. I don’t impose my own beliefs or values, because I know your story is not mine—and I honor that.
I especially love working with women. It’s powerful to witness women begin to trust themselves, find their voice, and step into the life they want. Whether you’re processing trauma, working through anxiety, navigating a major life change, or simply trying to understand yourself better—I’m here to support you with compassion and honesty.
One of the most effective tools I use in my work is Lifespan Integration therapy. It’s an evidence-based approach that gently helps you heal from the past and strengthen your sense of self. I’ve seen so much growth happen through this work—clients gaining clarity, peace, and a deeper understanding of who they are.
At the heart of my work is connection. If we work together, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and empowered to grow at your own pace.
