What is your style/approach to therapy?
I believe that therapy is most impactful when I honor each person’s unique social, cultural, psychological and biological background, with a values-affirming, collaborative and empathic stance. Accordingly, I draw from a variety of evidence-based psychotherapies, including behavioral therapies like CBT and CPT, third-wave psychotherapies like DBT and ACT, and more structured therapies like EMDR, and Prolonged Exposure in order to find the right fit for each of my clients. In addition, creating a safe and warm environment that recognizes my clients’ intersectional and cultural identities is foundational to my therapeutic process and goal of fostering growth, empowerment and healing. Thank you for allowing me the honor and privilege of bearing witness with you in this space of vulnerability.

Work History
Hello and welcome to my practice! I am a California licensed (PSY30493) clinical psychologist providing evidence-based individual psychotherapy to adults, with specialties in the treatment of trauma and stress-related disorders, anxiety and major depression, life transitions, grief and loss, identity development and multiculturalism. I received my doctoral degree from the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium, and completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Hospital. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship with emphasis in psychosocial rehabilitation at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. I enjoy working with diverse adults, including monolingual Spanish-speaking individuals. As a clinician with specialties in the treatment of trauma and anxiety, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), both evidence-based and structured therapies used to treat trauma and stress-related disorders including PTSD; I am also trained in Exposure Therapy for anxiety and phobias. I am dedicated to providing quality training, supervision and continuing education to psychologists and other mental health clinicians through my roles as clinical training director of the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at The Clinic, and as a member of the Continuing Medical Education committee at The Clinic, a boutique mental health group practice based in the San Francisco Bay Area and Southern California. Moreover, as an advocate for providing accessible mental health services and tools to enhance wellbeing for all, I have collaborated with startups and mental health organizations in the creation of mental health content for the community at large. I am honored that you’re here and I look forward to connecting with you.
