Work HistoryMy journey into counseling has been shaped by years of dedicated, hands-on experience in crisis response and dedicated mental health care. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals during some of the most challenging and pivotal moments of their lives, which taught me early on that true healing starts with genuine human connection and trust. A major foundation of my practice comes from my work with crisis intervention and suicide prevention services, including over five years spent working with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Supporting people through immediate, high-stakes crises honed my expertise in crisis support, self-harm intervention, and emotional regulation. It taught me how to stay grounded, offer steady support in overwhelming moments, and help clients find safety and stability when everything feels out of control. Through my clinical training and internship work, I focused heavily on developing specialized skills in trauma and somatic-focused work, grief and loss, and navigating major life transitions. Working directly with clients from diverse backgrounds helped me understand that stress and trauma aren't just mental—they affect the whole body. This led me to integrate somatic techniques into my practice, giving clients practical physical and mental tools to process heavy emotions, heal from burnout, and move through anxiety and depression. I also specialize in meeting clients in ways that feel modern, comfortable, and tailored to their personal lifestyle. Recognizing that traditional sitting-in-a-chair therapy isn't the best fit for everyone, I incorporate creative avenues like Video Game Assisted Therapy alongside traditional video, phone, and secure messaging sessions. Using interactive spaces allows younger clients and adults alike to build rapport naturally, work through challenges, and learn real-world skills in a comfortable, collaborative way. Whether you are navigating deep grief, working through past trauma, or feeling overwhelmed by life’s daily stressors, my goal is to blend these years of practical experience into a warm, down-to-earth partnership that meets you exactly where you are.
