Get To Know Me
What does a first session with you look like?
The first session with me is all about slowing things down and getting to know each other. I’m not the type of therapist who jumps right into heavy stuff unless you want to. I always say: we go at your pace, not mine.
We’ll spend some time talking about what brought you in, what’s been feeling heavy or hard lately, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. I’ll also ask about your support system, any history that feels important to share, and how you’ve been coping. But I’m never going to push you to open up more than you’re ready for — building trust takes time, and that’s okay.
You’ll also get to ask me anything — about how I work, what to expect, or even just to feel out if I’m the right fit for you. Therapy is a relationship, and I want you to feel safe, seen, and supported.
Oh, and I’m super mindful of making sure you leave that first session feeling a little more grounded, not more overwhelmed. Even if we just talk about how your week’s been and figure out some small ways to take care of yourself in the meantime, that’s a solid start.

Education
Barry University, Associate of Applied Arts, Marriage and Family Therapy, 2019 — hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding people through a systems perspective—how individuals are shaped by their relationships, environments, and experiences. While I currently work exclusively with individuals (and not couples or families), this training enhances my ability to view each client holistically and explore how their connections and context impact their healing journey.
During my graduate studies, I was inducted into the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society, recognizing my academic excellence and commitment to ethical and compassionate care. My graduate work also included research on trauma-informed practices, with a special focus on helping individuals navigate relational and intergenerational wounds.
Work HistoryHey, I’m Logan. I’m a licensed therapist with a background in marriage and family therapy, but my main focus is trauma. I’ve spent years working with a wide range of people — kids, teens, adults, and families — across different cultures, backgrounds, and life stories. I’m trauma-informed at my core, which just means I approach therapy in a way that’s mindful of your past experiences, your nervous system, and the things that may have shaped how you show up in the world today. We go at your pace — always.
In addition to my private practice, I’m also a clinical supervisor at the Trauma Resolution Center, where I help train and support new therapists. That role has really deepened my understanding of what it means to hold space for people who are navigating tough, layered experiences. Whether someone’s working through childhood trauma, relationship wounds, burnout, or just feeling stuck — I bring a calm, grounded presence, and I meet them right where they are.
I’m also bilingual — I speak Spanish fluently — and I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from all different walks of life, including immigrant communities, survivors of violence, and people who’ve never been in therapy before. I do my best to make therapy feel safe, warm, and approachable — no clinical robot energy over here.
And just to keep it real: I’m a single mom to a toddler and we’ve got two dogs at home, so my schedule reflects that full plate. I offer sessions on weekday evenings and every other Saturday only, since the other weekends are reserved for mom life.
If you’re looking for a therapist who gets how messy and meaningful healing can be, and who can hold space in both English and Spanish — I’d love to connect.
