Work History
Since elementary school, my friends have come to me for a listening ear, comfort, and perspective. Throughout the years, my interest in psychology grew, as well as the signs that serving others was going to be part of my career path. As I excelled in undergraduate and graduate coursework, my passion for helping others increased. With over 25 years of clinical experience working in nonprofits, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, two colleges (as a professor), and private practice, I have been privileged to assist with a wide array of client needs. My primary approach is along the behavioral continuum with the use of CBT, DBT, and REBT, but I also integrate solution-focused, revisioning, and acceptance and commitment therapies.
