What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
As a trauma-trained clinician specializing in EMDR and IFS, I work with children, teens, and adults healing from trauma, abuse, attachment wounds and emotional overwhelm. If your mind and body feel stuck in survival mode, you may notice anxiety, shutdown, or reactions that feel hard to control. You might experience racing thoughts, emotional reactivity, or disconnection from yourself and others, making it difficult to feel safe or fully present.
Together, we process what feels stuck, regulate your emotions and nervous system, and reduce overwhelm, triggers, and dissociation. We build emotional regulation skills and deepen awareness of your inner experiences so you can respond with intention rather than react and feel more grounded and in control in your daily life.
If you’ve been carrying experiences that still feel heavy or overwhelming, therapy can help you begin to release that weight. With EMDR and IFS, we’ll process what’s unresolved and help you feel more grounded and connected to yourself. If this feels like what you need, I invite you to reach out!
When I’m not in session, you can usually find me spending time with my dogs, at the gym, or diving into a good book or a new topic that sparks my curiosity.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach is integrative, using EMDR, IFS, and DBT to support healing in a thoughtful and personalized way. EMDR helps process and release the impact of past experiences so they feel less overwhelming. IFS focuses on understanding the different “parts” of yourself with compassion, helping you feel more balanced and connected. DBT provides practical tools to manage intense emotions, reduce anxiety, and improve coping in daily life. Together, these approaches help address trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and patterns that feel hard to change, supporting you in feeling more grounded, in control, and at peace.
For younger clients, I use play therapy as a developmentally appropriate way to support similar goals. Through play, children can express feelings, process difficult experiences, and make sense of what they’ve been through in a way that feels natural and safe. This approach helps reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and build coping skills, while supporting a stronger sense of confidence, connection, and overall well-being.
What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
A cornerstone of therapy is creating a non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. While trust is often considered the foundation of the therapeutic relationship, it takes time to develop, especially with someone new. By emphasizing non-judgment in our work together, clients can share things they may have never spoken aloud before, without fear of criticism or dismissal.
This environment allows a genuine bond to form, one built on acceptance, understanding, and respect. Over time, this bond fosters trust, comfort, and a sense of support that enables clients to take the difficult but necessary steps toward personal growth and healing. In this space, clients can confront challenges, process emotions, and explore their experiences in a way that feels safe, empowering, and validating.
Ultimately, my goal is to provide a relationship that is collaborative and compassionate, where clients feel truly seen, heard, and valued, and where meaningful change is possible at a pace that feels right for them.

Education
Liberty University, Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2025 — This program is CACREP accredited which means it demonstrates vigorous standards in counselor education & preparation.
Work HistoryMy work in the field of mental health began with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), where I supported neurodivergent children and their families. Through this experience, I developed patience, empathy, and a deep appreciation for the diversity of neurodivergent minds. I later expanded my work by providing in-home therapeutic services to low-income families, supporting children and adolescents ages 2–21 with a variety of emotional and behavioral needs.
During my graduate internship, I broadened my clinical experience across the lifespan, working with adults ages 22–93 in an outpatient setting. During this time, I also developed and facilitated grief support groups for older adults in a nursing home, in addition to providing individual counseling. Although we came from different generations, I found meaningful connections with individuals in the later stages of life, offering them a space to share their stories with someone who genuinely listened and valued their experiences.
Following my internship, I continued my work in an outpatient setting, providing therapy to clients from diverse backgrounds and across all stages of life. This experience has allowed me to further develop my clinical skills while supporting individuals with a wide range of needs.
