Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I bring both professional experience and lived understanding to the work I do. As a first-generation and non-traditional college student, my own academic journey was far from linear. My mom passed away on my very first day of college in 1992, and after taking a long break to grieve and rebuild, I eventually returned to complete my bachelor’s degree in Human Services (Counseling) at MSU Denver in 2006. That experience taught me resilience, empathy, and the importance of meeting people exactly where they are.
Because of that, my approach as a therapist is deeply person-centered. I believe in walking alongside my clients with compassion, curiosity, and respect—empowering them to recognize their own strengths and move toward healing at their own pace. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where people feel seen, supported, and capable of growth, no matter what challenges they’re facing.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
My personality deeply influences the way I show up as a therapist. I’m a loyal and dependable person, and I bring that same steady presence into my work with clients. Building trust is something I take seriously—once that trust is established, I’m fully committed to walking alongside my clients through both the challenges and the breakthroughs. I believe that consistency and reliability are essential to creating a safe space where clients can truly open up and grow.
As someone who’s motivated and goal-oriented, I naturally gravitate toward helping clients set meaningful, achievable goals and supporting them in reaching them at their own pace. I see therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to identify strengths, overcome barriers, and celebrate progress—no matter how big or small.
I’m also a very practical and grounded person. I value stability and tend to approach both life and therapy with a thoughtful, realistic mindset. My clients can count on me to stay centered and solution-focused, even in difficult moments. I aim to balance compassion with practicality—offering empathy, but also concrete tools and strategies that help clients feel empowered and supported in making real, lasting change.

Work HistoryI’m a dedicated mental health professional with a background that blends clinical practice, social work, and higher education. Currently, I work as an Outpatient Therapist at Ellie Mental Health, where I provide compassionate, creative care to help clients reach their goals through individualized treatment and collaboration.
Before that, I served as an Assessment Specialist at Denver Springs, conducting crisis evaluations and coordinating care to ensure each person received the right level of support. My clinical training includes internships at Naropa Community Counseling and Dignity Hospice, where I gained experience working with diverse populations, supporting clients through both personal growth and end-of-life transitions.
Earlier in my career, I spent over a decade at MSU Denver as an academic advisor, instructor, and graduation evaluator—helping students design meaningful academic paths and reach their goals.
Across every role, I’m passionate about meeting people where they are, building trust, and empowering them to heal and thrive.
