Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I was drawn to this field through a combination of personal experience and a genuine curiosity about people. I’ve had my own challenges with mental health, as well as experiences within my family. At times, I received meaningful support that made a real difference, and at other times, I didn’t seek out or wasn’t able to find the kind of help that would have been useful. Those experiences led me to think more deeply about what actually helps.
Over time, that developed into a desire to support others in a way that feels practical, honest, and genuinely helpful. I aim to be the kind of therapist who is present, collaborative, and focused on helping you move forward in ways that matter to you.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
My personal experiences have shaped how I understand and approach this work. I have an appreciation for how difficult it can be to reach out for support, and how important it is to find the right fit. Because of that, I aim to create a space that feels both supportive and straightforward—where you don’t feel judged, but also feel like we’re working toward something meaningful.
I also recognize that insight alone isn’t always enough to create change. That perspective guides me to focus not just on understanding what’s difficult, but on helping you take practical steps toward the life you want, even when things feel challenging.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
My personality plays a meaningful role in how I approach therapy. I bring a genuine curiosity about people, which helps me stay engaged and interested in understanding your experience without making assumptions. I also value being compassionate and nonjudgmental, creating a space where you can be open about what’s difficult.
At the same time, I try to keep a sense of humor when it fits. Therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time, and sometimes humor can help create perspective and make the process feel more approachable.

Work HistoryI currently work in a group private practice with teens and adults navigating depression, anxiety, and feeling stuck.
Earlier in my career, I worked in a collaborative care program within primary care settings, helping clients manage mental health concerns alongside everyday stressors. I began my clinical work on a young adult inpatient unit at Sheppard Pratt, supporting individuals during periods of acute distress.
