Work HistoryEarly Career: Community Mental Health My professional path started in community mental health, where I had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and families. This experience was both challenging and profoundly rewarding, as it allowed me to engage with a diverse clientele facing a wide range of issues. I gained a deep understanding of the systemic factors influencing mental health and learned to navigate the complexities of providing care in resource-limited settings. Working with children and teenagers, I encountered various behavioral, emotional, and developmental challenges. My approach was holistic and client-centered, emphasizing the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust and empathy. I utilized evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy, to address issues ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and family dynamics. Private Practice After several years in community mental health, I transitioned to private practice to provide more personalized and flexible care to my clients. In my private practice, I continue to work with a diverse clientele, allowing me to tailor my therapeutic approach to the unique needs and goals of each client. This setting offers a more individualized and intensive therapeutic experience. In private practice, I have expanded my repertoire of therapeutic techniques and interventions, incorporating approaches such as CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These methodologies enable me to address a broad spectrum of mental health issues, including relationship difficulties, life transitions, anxiety and depression, and personal growth. Utilizing an eclectic blend of skills building and emotional processing, me and my clients work together in a collaborative process to explore challenges, identify strengths, and develop strategies for positive change, helping my clients get to the root of their concerns while maintaining a focus on resiliency and healing.
