Work HistoryI am a Marine Corps veteran who is currently an intern at Therapeia Counseling while I earn my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. During my time in the Marine Corps, I trained and assisted younger Marines as they transitioned from the school portion of their training into fully-fledged Marines. This allowed me to understand how individuals learn and adapt to each style to assist the Marines better as they grew confident in their positions. After the Marine Corps, I began my educational journey to become a Mental Health Counselor, and I am completing the final steps of my degree through my internship semester. During this process, I have worked with individuals who experienced depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, trauma, and grief. Each individual and diagnosis is different, so I strive to work with the client to determine which treatment is best for them to help them meet their goals and feel better.
