What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Since I was young, I had a strong desire to connect with people on a deeper level and be of service to them. However, I was uncertain about the specific field where I could achieve this. Eventually, I decided to explore the field of therapy and found my true calling. I have since fallen in love with the work that I do and the impact I have on people's lives through therapy. As I began my journey as a therapist, I quickly realized that this was the perfect way for me to connect with people on a deeper level and provide them with the care and support they need. I found myself captivated by the process of helping people to overcome their challenges and reach their full potential. Through my work as a therapist, I have seen the profound impact that therapy can have on individuals and families. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to play a role in helping people navigate the complexities of life and find the happiness and fulfillment they deserve. Overall, working as a therapist has been a deeply rewarding experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
What does a first session with you look like?
For our first session together, we will take the time to go in-depth about the reason for your visit. This is your opportunity to share what brings you to therapy, the challenges that you may be currently facing, and the changes that you would like to make. We will work together to identify your goals, and create a plan to achieve them. During this session, we will take the time to examine the concept of therapy, and its process. We will discuss what you can expect during our sessions together, as well as any questions or concerns you may have. If you have had any previous experiences with therapy, we will also take the opportunity to discuss those experiences, and how we can work together to make your therapy experience even better. Together, we will set achievable targets that will help you reach your goals. This will be a collaborative process, where we will work together to create a safe and supportive environment that will help you achieve your desired outcomes.

Work History
I bring over 15 years of extensive experience in the mental health field to the table. My professional journey has been diverse, starting with youth on probation, followed by 7 years of working in a Residential Treatment Facility for teens struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues, along with their families. I have also helped numerous young adults in their transition to young adulthood and worked in a trauma clinic and a private practice group. Through each experience, I have gained unique insights and expertise, and have developed a passion for working with diverse populations. As a therapist, my priority is to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where you can be yourself without any judgment. I believe in a person-centered approach that allows us to peel back the layers and get to the root of the issue. Together, we will work towards putting the pieces back together in a way that feels authentic and true to you.
