What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment where clients feel safe to be themselves. I believe that every person has unique strengths, and therapy should be tailored to each individual's needs, goals, and life experiences. I integrate evidence-based approaches while remaining flexible to meet clients where they are. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, or everyday stress, my goal is to help you build practical skills, increase resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, military members, veterans, first responders, and the general public, and I am committed to providing culturally responsive, compassionate care in both English and Spanish. My approach is collaborative, authentic, and focused on helping clients feel supported, empowered, and understood throughout their therapeutic journey.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
My personal and professional experiences have reinforced my belief that everyone has a unique story and that healing looks different for each person. Working with individuals from diverse backgrounds has strengthened my appreciation for resilience, cultural humility, and the importance of creating a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel heard and understood. My work with military members, veterans, first responders, and trauma survivors has deepened my understanding of the impact that life experiences, stress, and relationships can have on mental health. These experiences have shaped my collaborative, compassionate approach to therapy, where I focus on helping clients identify their strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. I strive to meet each client where they are, honoring their experiences while empowering them to move toward the life they want to build
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach to therapy is collaborative, direct, and compassionate. I believe clients deserve both empathy and honest feedback, so I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space while also gently challenging unhelpful patterns that may be preventing growth. My goal is to help clients gain insight, develop practical skills, and make meaningful, lasting changes not just talk about problems, but work toward solutions. I recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I tailor treatment to each client's unique needs by integrating evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), trauma-informed care, and systemic/family therapy principles. I work from a strengths-based perspective, helping individuals, couples, and families build on their resilience while navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and everyday stress. I believe therapy should be a partnership where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered. My role is to provide support, accountability, and practical tools while encouraging clients to step outside their comfort zones when needed. Together, we work toward creating meaningful change, improving relationships, and building a healthier, more fulfilling life.
