Work HistoryMy clinical experience has been shaped by nearly two decades of supporting children, adults, and families through some of their most challenging moments. Before opening Owl Medicine Healing, I spent many years working in community mental health and early childhood programs, where I supported families navigating trauma, stress, and major life transitions. These experiences helped me deeply understand how early experiences shape emotional patterns, relationships, and overall well-being. In my therapy work, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals healing from anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, and the lingering effects of painful life events. My time as a therapist with Children’s Home Society allowed me to work closely with children, teens, and caregivers, often during crises or high-stress situations, strengthening my ability to remain grounded, calm, and attuned in moments when people need it most. For many years, I also served in leadership roles within Head Start and Early Head Start programs, guiding mental health services across large teams and multiple communities. In these roles, I trained hundreds of professionals in trauma-informed practices and supported families facing overwhelming stress, grief, and systemic challenges. This work strengthened my belief that healing is possible at every stage of life and that supportive relationships are central to meaningful change. Today, as an EMDR and trauma-informed therapist, I bring all of this experience into the therapy room. My background allows me to understand trauma not just as an event, but as something that affects the nervous system, relationships, self-worth, and daily functioning. I draw on years of clinical training and real-world experience to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to rebuild from the inside out.
